The achingly beautiful songs on the debut album Rivers Wild range from otherworldly modern folk to bluegrass stompalongs always informed by a wonderful pop sensibility.
Shelly and Charity’s perfect two part harmonies throughout, combined with Allys elaborate, atmospheric guitar playing, make for something really rather special.
Compared to such greats as Simon and Garfunkel, and being hailed as a sexier “The Judds”, Red Sky cant wait to get out on the road with this new project. “That’s when it all makes sense” says Shelly; “We all spend so long in the studio as writers that coming together to actually play the stuff we love, interact and sing out loud reminds you why you got into music in the first place.”
Red Sky July’s first album is a true labour of love for three individual players that came together to make a dream, and they did.

We are also thinkin of putting out a mini Ep with just Red Sky instrumentals on as the album finishes with Hymek (a piece of music named after a deisel engine !! allys idea of course!!) and its so pretty and the boys have done quite a few

and that we start rehearsing saturday for the ben taylor gigs hope to see some of you there

 | Current mood:  calm hello x im typing while charity is playing the fiddle on the newest red sky offering ’say what you should have said’ theres also another newie called ‘ the tables are gonna turn’ thats all mixed and done so the latest is weve got 4 more songs on the go and when they are all played and sung thats our album of 12 songs finished theres 2 little numbers that are only 1 and a half minutes long we wont put them up on here coz theres not enough space but we will be releasing it this year so you can hear the whole body of work . this has been the best music and the most fun ive had !!! its been such a funny time ive taken loads of pics and at sometime b4 the red sky sessions are over im going to video the recording days coz its hilarious!!! if ever there was a good subject for a reality tv show!! mostly thanks to charity and ally (i know im the serious one in this group!) xxx |
| happy new year all ally and i stayed in london charity went to florida to be with her family very nice all round we start back in the studio 2nd week of jan and are hoping to have the red sky album finished by the end of feb beginning of march got the ideas in the head just need to get them out now thanks for reading /listening /visiting us here see you soooooooon xxxx |
